David Krejci - C - Boston Bruins

David Krejci contributed to the Czech Republic's 3-2 win against Finland, earning his country the bronze medal at the 2012 IIHF World Championships.

Ales Hemsky fed Krejci for what ended up being the game-winning goal. Petr Prucha and Jiri Novotny were the other Czech goal scorers while Mika Pyorala and Jussi Jokinen found the net for Finland. The Finns took a huge shot advantage in the third period but Jokinen was the only player who could score.

Jared Knight - C - Boston Bruins

Boston prospect Jared Night led his London Knights to a 5-3 win over the St. John's Sea Dogs in the their first game of the Memorial Cup.

Knight, a second-round pick of the Bruins in 2010, registered an assist in the victory. The Knights will play the Shawinigan Cataractes led by Phoenix defenseman prospect Brandon Gormely Sunday in their second Memorial Cup contest.

Miroslav Satan - W - Boston Bruins

Miroslav Satan scored twice to lead Slovakia to a 3-1 win over arch-rival Czech Republic Saturday.

The win vaults Slovakia into the World Hockey Championship final where they will take on Russia for the gold medal. Satan last played in the NHL two years ago for the Boston Bruins. Jiri Hudacek also scored for Slovakia while Michael Frolik picked up the lone goal for the Czech Republic who will play host Finland for the bronze medal.

Dougie Hamilton - D - Boston Bruins

Doug Hamilton, who has an excellent chance at breaking camp with the Bruins next season, was a standout in the OHL playoffs this season.

Boston's number one pick in last June's entry draft scored five goals and registered 23 points in 20 games during the London Knight's run towards the OHL championship. Hamilton is certainly worth putting on your watch list.

Dougie Hamilton - D - Boston Bruins

Look for 2011 first-round pick Doug Hamilton to get a legitimate shot at making the Bruins out of training camp next season.

Team President Cam Neely is expecting Hamilton to get a long pre-season look. "I want to see him at camp", Neely said. "I want to see him in games against NHL players. We all know that he's got the skill to be an NHL defenseman. It's a matter of, is he going to be ready this year? And that's something we aren't going to find out until training camp.'' Keep an eye on this situation in September.

Marc Savard - C - Boston Bruins

Marc Savard (concussion) isn't close to being ready to play hockey and it remains to be seen if he'll ever play in another NHL game.

"I've had a lot of issues obviously," Savard said. "They were a lot of different things. This year I was at home a lot and I tried to help out my son coaching and getting on the ice a little bit. Even doing just [getting on the ice coaching] I wouldn't feel well afterward: lightheadedness, a little bit of an upset stomach all the time. But the biggest issue I've had, of course, is the memory issues. It's very frustrating. It's something I hope I don't have to deal with for the rest of my life." Savard hasn't played since Jan. 22, 2011. He also added that he wishes there was a "black and white rule for head shots."

Tim Thomas - G - Boston Bruins

Bruins president Cam Neely doesn't sound like a man looking to trade Tim Thomas.

"We're very happy with our goalies. We have two strong goalies in both Tim and Tuukka," said Neely. "I think a lot of teams are probably envious of what we have here. It's an area were we feel pretty comfortable." Of course that might simply be them trying to position themselves as being willing to keep Thomas in the hopes that any potential trading partner won't feel like they have the upper hand. With Tuukka Rask scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer, keeping both of their goaltenders could significantly eat away at their 2012-13 cap space.
