Julian Edelman will wear a carbon-fiber shield on his right forearm for the second straight game Sunday.
Edelman is listed as questionable, but he's going to play. The shield is not a cast as he can slip it on and off. Edelman is not a fantasy option as he saw just two targets last week as the No. 3 receiver.
Julian Edelman (questionable, arm) was limited in Patriots practice Friday.
Edelman was limited every day this week, but is fully expected to play against the Jets. He's not a WR3 or flex option against a difficult pass defense.

Sammy Morris (questionable, knee) indicated Friday that he will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Jets.
Morris is expected back, but the Patriots tell players to be tight-lipped on injuries. "Sore, but I feel good," Morris said. "We'll see Sunday. Just taking it day by day." Morris' role is unclear coming off a month-long knee sprain.

Fred Taylor (ankle surgery) still has not resumed practicing.
It's impressive that the Pats have been able to keep him off injured reserve so long. Taylor hasn't played or practiced in seven weeks and remains without a timetable for return. He's deservedly on most fantasy waiver wires.
Patriots WR Julian Edelman (arm) was limited again Thursday.
Edelman will play against the Jets Sunday, likely as the No. 3 receiver. Barring an injury to Randy Moss or Wes Welker, he's without value in fantasy leagues.

Sammy Morris (knee) was limited again in Thursday's practice, as expected.
Morris is expected to return to face the Jets this week, but it's possible that he'll be eased back into the backfield picture. Take a "wait and see" approach to his fantasy value this week.
Patriots WR Sam Aiken (hip) returned to practice in a limited fashion Thursday.
Aiken has a shot to play this week, but he won't see as much time as the No. 3 receiver with Julian Edelman now healthy.
