Richie Incognito - G - St. Louis Rams

Rams released RG Richie Incognito.

The noted hot-head has been a personal foul machine the past couple of seasons, culminating in a benching last week after a pair of head butts. Mark Setterstrom will likely take over as the right guard. With his anger management issues, Incognito won't find many takers on the open market.

O.J. Atogwe - DB - St. Louis Rams

Rams FS O.J. Atogwe, placed on injured reserve last week, has decided to undergo surgery on his dislocated right shoulder.

Atogwe was facing the possibility of re-injuring the shoulder down the road if he didn't get it fixed. An impending restricted free agent, Atogwe should be ready for training camp.

Marc Bulger - QB - St. Louis Rams

Rams beat writer Jim Thomas says it's "all but certain" Marc Bulger (fractured shinbone) is done for the year.

Bulger is still feeling pain in his leg and the doctors still have him on crutches. With just three games left in the season for a 1-12 team, rushing Bulger back for a Week 17 start makes no sense. Look for Keith Null and Kyle Boller to finish out the year under center. The Rams have likely already begun their search for Bulger's long-term replacement.

Jason Smith - T - St. Louis Rams

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo admitted that the team has discussed shutting down RT Jason Smith (concussion) for the season.

"That's one avenue we've talked about," Spagnuolo said. "We're still researching it. There's a tremendous concern when a concussion is involved." The No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft suffered the concussion against the Cardinals in Week 11. He is still feeling symptoms and hasn't played since.

Steven Jackson - RB - St. Louis Rams

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday that Steven Jackson (back) came out of Sunday's loss "very sore, obviously."

"But hopefully no worse," Spags added of the herniated disc in Jackson's back. With Sunday's game well out of hand, Jackson didn't play on the Rams' final series. There's a good chance he won't practice for the rest of the year.

Kyle Boller - QB - St. Louis Rams

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo said Monday that he will "lean to" starting Kyle Boller in Week 15 if Boller (thigh) is healthy enough.

"But I'm not going to commit to that 100 percent," Spags allowed. "Kyle has been a competitor for us. If he is healthy, I think he can help us win." Keith Null threw five picks and averaged just 3.7 yards per attempt after Boller was a late scratch in Week 14. Sadly, Boller is probably St. Louis' best option.

Jacob Bell - G - St. Louis Rams

Rams LG Jacob Bell is likely done for the season with a torn hamstring.

"It will not require surgery, but we may have to make a decision there on how long that is going to be," said coach Steve Spagnuolo. Bell will probably go on injured reserve later this week. Mark Setterstrom is his backup.
