Pierce says he has strained Achilles' injury

Paul Pierce told media after Tuesday's loss that he is dealing with a strained left Achilles' injury and called himself "day-to-day."
"I'm day to day right now," said Pierce. "We'll see how I feel the next couple days." Pierce can thank the schedule makers for deciding Game 3 should be on Saturday, giving him nearly four days rest from tonight's final buzzer to tip-off. And given Pierce's history of theatrics, to say we're skeptical about how hurt he is would be an understatement.
