The Brewers and Corey Hart will engage in an arbitration hearing on Thursday to decide the outfielder's salary for 2010.
The Brewers filed at $4.15 million and Hart requested $4.8 million when arbitration figures were exchanged back in mid-January. The two sides have been unable to reach a compromise and that's not likely to change in the next two days. "We've had enough time to get a deal done," said general manager Doug Melvin. "Right now, it looks like we've got the first case (to be heard)."
