Jeff Baker homered off C.J. Wilson in his lone at-bat Tuesday against the Rangers.
Wilson was otherwise dealing, but Baker, who hit .314/.364/.490 in 51 at-bats against lefties last year for the Cubs, was able to get to him. While it appears as though Mike Fontenot is on his way to being named the Cubs' starting second baseman, the team still figures to use Baker there against lefties. A strict platoon would make plenty of sense.
