The Astros are close to a multi-year contract extension with right-hander Brett Myers, according to MLB.com's Brian McTaggart.
The 'Stros got a great deal on Myers this offseason and are wise to lock him up going forward. He's gone 8-6 this year on a bad Houston team while posting a 3.10 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP and 113 strikeouts in 145 innings. The Astros have a long way to go, but they seem to be rebuilding in the right way. And Myers is going to be great fantasy-wise while sticking in the NL Central.
