Free agent SS LaRon Landry is paying for his own platelet rich plasma and stem-cell treatments this offseason after going against Redskins doctors' advice to undergo Achilles surgery.
Landry opted against major surgery because it's not only "brutal," but also comes with concerns over recovery time and losing range-of-motion or strength. "You might not get the same thing you had before," explained Landry, who was noncommittal on a recovery timetable. Despite the disagreements on treatment, Landry still hopes to re-sign with the Redskins.
