Yanks want Bucs to pay more of Burnett's deal
A.J. Burnett - S - New York Yankees
Feb. 10, 2012 - 5:20 PM ET

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Yankees want the Pirates to absorb more than $10 million of the $33 million remaining on A.J. Burnett's contract.

Some have speculated that $10 million was the magic number to get a deal done, but apparently that's not the case. Of course, this could just be posturing on the Yankees' part as they try to get a better prospect in return, but it doesn't sound as though a deal is imminent.
